Disclaimer: This weather station is run as a hobby, nothing more, nothing less. Do not make decisions based on the data or forecast obtained here. Please consult the National Weather service or your local TV station for up to the minute weather information.

That said, the weather station is a Davis Weather Monitor II. I originally obtained the station as a Christmas gift in 1996 but kept records manually. I finally purchased the datalogger and Weatherlink software in late 2004 and started working on this website. It has gone through several incarnations and what you're seeing now is my latest lame attempt at html authoring. Since it is my hobby, expect changes as I'm constantly trying to make things better. Hopefully you will find the website useful. If not it's worth exactly what you paid for it.

The station is located in Everman, TX, about 10 miles SSE of downtown Ft. Worth. All records, normals and averages are from DFW airport, about 23 miles NNE of this location. Trees obscure a clear path for the anemometer, expect wind speed readings to be lower than true readings.

I think you will find the pages here will work best using Firefox. While it seems to work in Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6, it was written to display the way I want in Firefox.

If you find incorrect information please me. Suggestions are also welcome!

Update: In May 2006 I moved about 30 miles north to Roanoke, TX, about 13 miles NW of DFW airport where official measurements are taken. As a result, data is missing for May and June of 2006 while I got settled. At the same time I upgraded the station to a Vantage Pro Plus which has many more features. Look for changes as I integrate the new information into the site.

Thanks,
Larry
